| Deputy Headteacher – Curriculum: Dr A Mitchell (A.Mitchell@bb-hs.co.uk) We ensure that the curriculum we offer our students suits them and our high aspirations for them. We foster connections between curriculum areas. We believe that skills depend on knowledge and our knowledge-rich curriculum lays the foundation for our students to develop their skills effectively. The school also knows that our students will play their best and fullest part in the world when they know the best that has been said, written and done, so we make reading and developing cultural capital central to all parts of the life of our school. While we are unashamed of the idea that a high-quality traditional classroom experience is often the best and most fruitful way to create students who will flourish in the rest of their lives, we also believe that school is a time for seminal, memorable experiences that do not fit into this pattern. Our students might visit the wonders of the world on a trip, they might overcome their fears and perform on stage, they might have a life-changing impact on those beyond our gates, but for many of our students, they will not have these experiences if we do not offer them. We want to offer our students some unforgettable spots of time. |  |

| Assistant Headteacher – Sixth Form: Miss C Alford (C.Alford@bb-hs.co.uk) Students can expect high standards of teaching and learning leading to academic success. Our curriculum offer reflects the national changes. We offer a broad suite of qualifications including A Levels, BTEC Level 3 National Qualifications, the Extended Project Qualification and enrichment activities to develop personal, social and employability skills. In addition, GCSE English and/or Maths resits ensure that all learners leave with these vital qualifications. All Sixth Form students take part in our tutorial programme and extra-curricular activities. There is a separate prospectus for the Sixth Form which is available upon request. |  |
| Assistant Headteacher – Teaching & Learning: Mrs L Adams (L.Adams@bb-hs.co.uk) We deliver highly effective learning experiences, expertly planned and taught, to ensure new and challenging learning builds on the foundations of prior learning. We are relentless in the pursuit of ensuring all students develop a robust and detailed knowledge of our ambitious curriculum. Students are supported and challenged, not only to be able to know and remember more, but to be able to articulate and apply their knowledge, extensively both verbally and in written form independently. We foster students' ability to become expert learners, able to share and evaluate their own reasoning, processing and acquisition of new knowledge. They should be self-regulating, aware of their progress and engaging continually with feedback provided by staff to ensure that they succeed and reach their potential. With such effective learning environments and experiences, students are able to thrive and should be willing to take risks, learn from mistakes and lose themselves within the process of learning. |  |
| Senior Leader - Transition: Mr A Jackson (A.Jackson@bb-hs.co.uk) The transition process is facilitated by the strong partnerships we have with our local primary schools with whom we work closely to ensure that transfer and progression are as smooth and effective as possible. We have an experienced team that organises and implements a broad range of activities and there is an induction programme for both students and parents to help with this process and introduce you to our community. |  |

| Senior Leader - Business and Operations Manager: Mrs S Hayes (s.hayes@bb-hs.co.uk) As a member of the Senior Leadership Team and Business and Operations Manager, I provide strategic leadership for the school’s financial and operational functions. Working closely with colleagues across our Multi Academy Trust, I help ensure the school is safe, well-resourced, and able to deliver excellent outcomes for our students. |  |
| Senior Leader - Eligible Students/SENDCo Mrs E Avons (E.Avons@bb-hs.co.uk) We believe that all students, including those eligible for pupil premium funding and/or those who have a special educational need, can thrive at our school. As such, we ensure that all staff understand the needs of our vulnerable students and provide high-quality teaching, tailored interventions and extra-curricular support. All students with an identified special educational need have a classroom support plan and are allocated a key worker. The SEND team also includes two Assistant SENDCos and a team of highly trained and dedicated teaching assistants who support our students and their families. As such, we ensure inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. |  |
