Our Governors have adopted the Staffordshire County Council policy on admissions which is updated annually.
Online Applications
Online applications are now the preferred method of making a preference for schools at the normal age of entry. Last year, around 89% of applications for Secondary School places were made online and 80% of Primary School applications. Parents who apply online are able to receive email notification of their school place on the national offer day, rather than through the post.
Prospective Parents’ Evening
Our Prospective Parents’ evening was held back in September where we welcomed around 400 visitors, our largest number of attendees to date. Mr Jackson, Senior Leader leads transition and there is an annual programme of events throughout the school year. We work closely with our feeder primary schools and beyond to support children and their families with making one of the most important decisions they have to make regarding their education. Please contact the school if you would like to arrange a visit prior to making an application.
The closing date for applications is 31st October and national offer day is the 1st March.
In-year Admissions
For in-year admissions please visit https://www.staffordshire.gov.uk/Education/Admissions-secondary/In-year/In-year-school-admissions.aspx for guidance on how to make an application and the in-year application form.
The in-year application form should be completed and returned directly to school. Your application will be processed and you will receive a response within 10 school days or 15 school days at the latest. If your application is unsuccessful, you will have a right of appeal to an independent panel.
