We are delighted to be in the position to recruit for a number of vacancies across our wonderful school.

For each vacancy, you will find a job description and person specification, but the most important criteria for you to meet is your willingness to support our ethos of Pride, Respect, Kindness.
Applicants should be specialists in their subjects, they should be enthusiastic and an exemplary role model to students and staff. We are looking for professionals who can nurture, inspire, challenge and motivate. It is essential that you enjoy working with young people and arm them with the knowledge and skills to be the best version of themselves when they move on from our school.

Governors employ around 70 teaching staff and over 50 support staff and we pride ourselves on being fully inclusive. We offer high quality CPD and development opportunities to ensure that our staff feel fulfilled in their role. We listen to what our staff are saying and where we can we make adaptations to ensure a better work life balance, we have a flexible working approach.

Head of Year (TLR 2.5)

Maternity cover to commence in the summer term 2022 (25th April 2022)

This is an exciting opportunity for an existing middle leader or teacher wanting to develop their leadership skills. The successful candidate will be a creative thinker with excellent inter-personal skills and will be highly effective in promoting and maintaining excellence for all across the pastoral team. You will need to be able to establish trusting and supportive partnerships with our young people and their parents and carers.

Governors welcome applications from teachers in any subject area, who can work well under pressure, have excellent time management skills and have ambition to support all students to reach their academic and personal potential.

 

Teacher of Mathematics

Summer term or September start

Governors wish to appoint an inspirational teacher of mathematics to join our innovative and collaborative team. The successful candidate will join a department with a relentless focus on raising attainment through creative and innovative teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4, and who believe that learning should be challenging, knowledge rich and engaging.

At key stage 4, we offer the AQA qualification and the opportunity to student Level 2 Further Maths. There are many opportunities to help shape our mathematics curriculum, provide enrichment activities and join in competitions.

This opportunity would suit either a newly qualified or experienced teacher who would thrive in a department open to fresh ideas and imaginative approaches. If you can retain and nourish the enthusiasm of our learners, and find inspiring and creative ways of getting students to think hard and develop their problem-solving skills, then we would like to hear from you.

 

Teacher i/c Social Science (TLR 2.1)

To commence in September or earlier

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and innovative teacher of social science, to lead a talented and successful social science department (comprising of psychology, sociology, criminology), where specialist teaching is prioritised. We are looking to appoint someone who can lead by example; the successful candidate would need outstanding subject knowledge as well as the vision and energy to inspire and motivate young people and the team they lead.

This opportunity would be best suited to an experienced teacher who would thrive in a department open to fresh ideas and imaginative approaches. If you can retain and nourish the enthusiasm of our learners, and find inspiring and creative to enrich the curriculum then we would like to hear from you.
