Apprentice Pastoral Support Assistant
Three positions available from September 2019
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a passion for education and supporting the personal development of young people. The successful candidates will provide support to staff on pastoral issues, promoting positive student behaviour and wellbeing. Working closely with Heads of Year, senior staff and teaching staff, you will develop strong links with parents/carers of students in your year team.
As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to complete a Level 3 BTEC Diploma Teaching Assistant qualification, which replaces the previous Supporting Teaching and Learning in schools Level 3 BTEC Diploma Qualification. You may also be required to complete Literacy, Numeracy and IT Functional Skills (this will be determined by existing qualifications).

Fixed Term Cover Supervisor
September 2019 – July 2020
Grade 5 Starting salary £16,950
32.5 hours term time only
We are looking to recruit an efficient and motivated Cover Supervisor to supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of the class teacher; this will include the implementation of work programmes, the management of student behaviour and assistance to students in various areas of the curriculum. The successful candidate will deliver outstanding supervision practices.

● Supervise work set by teaching staff
● Establish productive working relationships with students, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
● Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students within the classroom.

Monday to Friday – Term time only

We are looking for a confident person with a friendly personality and exceptional customer service skills, basic food preparation experience and a ‘can do’ attitude.
Reporting to the Catering Manager, general duties include some basic food preparation in line with our menu and recipes, health & safety compliance, cleaning duties and serving from the counter.
Catering experience is not essential as training will be given.
